We’re 24 weeks which is officially V Day for the trio. That’s the time period where a fetus is considered viable outside the womb so it’s a big milestone and I get a bronze star! (Silver is 28 weeks and gold is 32. I’m aiming for 35 weeks at which point I’ll expect a diamond tiara to go with that gold star. 😉 )
Obviously 24 weeks is still very early (and risky) and we don’t want these babies born yet but it’s still a great checkpoint in my pregnancy. Fortunately, everything looked fantastic at my appointment today. A, B and C looked great and my body is currently a fortress sealing them in where they belong.
Starting now, they’re going to look to monitor me weekly just to be sure they catch any signs of pre-term labor as early as possible. I’m very happy about the extra monitoring.
In other news, we found our weekday nanny. Her name is Megan, she has great experience, and I think she’ll be wonderful with our kids. We still have some work to do to find our overnight nannies for the first few months but we have a solid candidate for weekend nights which just leaves us with weeknights.
