Baby Update #5 – 16wks

Hello!! I’m 16 weeks today and it was the BIG appointment where we learned the sex of the fetuses!!

*drum roll please*
Baby A – is a BOY!
Baby B – is a GIRL!
Baby C – is a BOY!
This is about as real as it’s felt for me. I just want to walk around holding my belly. 🙂
On that note, the dr said that I’m measuring at where I’d be at ~25 weeks if I was pregnant with a singleton. (Scofields – thanks for the belly cream. I use it every night!)
A is 170 grams, B is 175 grams and C is 178 grams so they’re all measuring well. Grow, grow, grow!
Our doctors are great. We have a team of 3 and have finally rotated through all of them. They have patients see everyone since it could be any of them who does my c-section. They’re knowledgeable, friendly and they give us as much time as we need to ask all of our questions. (And I go in to each appointment with a typed list.)
Our next appointment is at 18 weeks for big anatomy ultrasound. Can’t wait!
As you can expect by now, Jason continues to be the best partner I could ask for. Every day I’m so grateful that we’re walking this journey together.
Love you all!
Joanna

Baby Update #4 – 14w1d

Good morning! I’m 14w1d today and we had another great appointment! The fetuses are all measuring at the right size with strong heartbeats and they’re definitely getting bigger in there! They look so much more like babies in this week’s photos. Check out Triplet B’s photo – you can totally see a brain stem and brain. AMAZING. We were even able to see the different brain hemispheres from some views. (With the pictures, I also included a PDF of all the pictures we got this week.)

I’m feeling okay. Still nausea in the morning but I *think* it’s a little better during the day. The usual headaches and heartburn that come with pregnancy but Jason’s still taking amazing care of me. I attached a photo of my growing baby bump. 🙂
I should also mention that the 12 weeks scans came back great from the lab so we don’t have any big concerns about chromosomal abnormalities. That’s a huge relief at my “advanced” age. 🙂
Love you all!
