Baby Update #7 – 20w1d

Hello! I had my bi-weekly ultrasound today and, if a triplet pregnancy appointment could be uneventful, this one was it!

Everything still looks great. The triplets are growing but we won’t have another growth scan until my 22wk appointment. Heart beats look good and it’s clear they’re getting bigger (Today’s pictures attached.)
The big news is that I’m officially up THIRTY pounds. My total goal is at least 50 so I’m right on track but it’s still unbelievable to me that I’ve managed to gain this much weight. For those of you who’ve seen me very recently you’ll know that it’s all decided to center itself in my belly. So, thirty pounds up and I’m STARVING all the time which seems to indicate there’s more to come. 🙂
I’m feeling movement but mostly from triplet B. My dr said to just give it a few weeks and it will feel like a conga line in my belly.
Otherwise, we’re getting settled in the new house. I’m working from home on Tuesdays & Thursdays now which gives my body the break it needs and I’m officially stopping any travel until after these babies make their appearance.
Grow! Grow! Grow!
Love you all,
Joanna

Baby Update #6 – 18w1d

Hooray! Hooray! Our anatomy scan was today and everything looks GREAT.

The triplets were cooperating so we were even out of the dr’s office 3 hrs – a whole 30 minutes early. 🙂
Really, from here on out, the key is making sure they grow, grow, grow and stay, stay, stay (in me, that is)!
My doctor said I’m doing great so that’s encouraging, too. I’m up 22 pounds (HOLY COW) and amazingly it seems to be all centered in my belly.
Late this afternoon we also went a “meet the doctor” night at the pediatrician office that we chose. They seem like a solid practice and do have experience with triplets so that’s nice. We also got a ton of great information for new parents that will come in very handy!
The doctor did confirm the importance of getting the flu shot and pertussis shot (tdap) if you expect to have any meaningful contact with the babies in their first 6 months so, again, thanks in advance!! (If you got the pertussis shot within 5 years of winter 2014 you don’t have to get it again but, if in doubt, just go for it.)
I’m feeling okay. I’m told that if my only complaints are exhaustion and back pain then I’m in good shape. I’m definitely continuing to slow down as I grow, though.
In non-pregnancy news, we move next weekend. Thanks to Big Homey for coming out to help us manage the process!
As always, a few photos are attached.
Love to you all!
